Public Opinion Research Interns

Goodwin Simon Strategic Research is an independent opinion research firm with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco’s East Bay. The firm’s partners and senior research directors bring more than 75 years of experience in polling, social and political marketing, and strategic communications to clients in the political, public, and private sectors.

We are currently accepting applications for public opinion research interns to work with our Northern California office in a remote capacity for upcoming 2021 sessions: Spring Feb 1-May 31; Summer June 1-August 15; Fall Sept 15-Dec 17, 2021.

This role will provide interns with the opportunity to become familiar with and learn basic skills associated with conducting qualitative and quantitative public opinion research. Tasks include working with research associates in preparing PowerPoint presentations for clients, preparing documents for data analysis, proofreading research and client documents, conducting background research, and other responsibilities. Whenever possible, GSSR also makes other academic and observational training opportunities available to interns as well.

We are seeking an applicant who is a recent college graduate or a current student with at least two years of college experience. The applicant must have excellent writing and editing skills, a strong attention to detail, and comfort working with numbers. He or she will also be able to balance many different projects and meet quick deadlines in a small, hardworking office environment where multiple projects are occurring at the same time. Written Spanish-language fluency is also a plus.
